The results were earlier reported to be declared on 24 May 17, but have been postponed due to some reason. Here, we’ll explain you the matter in detail…

CBSE class 12th results 2017: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the results of Class 12th examination by the end of this month. CBSE Students all over the India were anxiously awaiting the announcement of 12 CBSE board exam results. But it seems that this small period of stress and anxiety will be around for a prolonged time. After the official announcement was done by Central Board of Secondary Education.

The main issue, revolving around such mishmash is due to the controversial decision to discontinue “marks moderation policy” by CBSE. This policy allowed CBSE to add a dissimilar amount of marks to different students as well as provide grace marks to students who are failing with a very small margin; such change is perceived as a highly despicable move by the educational board.

So What is Mark’s Moderation Policy?

Marks moderation policy is a policy to award grace marks to the students who are failing to achieve passing marks by a very minor difference. Moreover, this also is used to award marks for tougher questions. The marks moderation policy was able to deliver better results as both the pass percentage and highest marks had a good outcome.

The main argument put forward by those who are opposing the move is that when students entered the 12 standards; the moderation policy was still intact. Thus the protesters are demanding that such a change should be implemented on the next batch (2017-18). The matter’s resolution might take some time as of now.

The Delhi High court has intervened in the matter and this could lead to mass re-checking of answer sheets. Although, CBSE has clarified that it is unwilling to recheck. Overall this is becoming a burden for students and parents alike. The ultimate loss is of the student. They are having a hard time.

It is fairly impossible to clarify when CBSE might declare the results.

When will the results be announced?

No date was announced by the education board after Wednesday’s deadline was delayed, so students are still in the dark about when they will actually get to know their marks.
